Dubai Mall using Salik Know new Parking Rates June 2024

The Dubai Mall has introduced a paid parking system in collaboration with Salik, the toll gate operator. The barrier-free system, set to launch in Q3 2024, will automatically deduct parking fees from customers’ Salik accounts using vehicle plate recognition. Parking will remain free for the first four hours on weekdays and six hours on weekends/holidays. After the free period, charges range from AED 40 to AED 1,000, depending on the duration. Exemptions apply to people of determination, public service vehicles, and valet drop-offs. Alternative transportation options like the Dubai Metro and RTA feeder buses are available to avoid parking fees.

In a move to manage the increasing demand for parking spaces and promote sustainable mobility solutions, the Dubai Mall has introduced a paid parking system in partnership with Salik, the toll gate operator in Dubai. The new barrier-free system, which is expected to be rolled out in the third quarter of 2024, will utilize vehicle plate recognition technology to automatically deduct parking fees from the customer’s Salik user account.

Free Parking Hours

The good news is that Dubai Mall parking will still be free for the first four hours from Monday to Thursday, and for the first six hours between Friday and Sunday, including public holidays.

After the free parking hours, the following rates will apply: From Monday to Thursday first 4 hours of parking are FREE after 4 5th hour’s rate is 40AED and increase 20AED for every 1 hour till 8 hours so 12 hours parking fees is 100AED, after 12 to 24 hours fees is 500AED, Parkings exceeding 24 hours will be charged 1000AED.

Weekdays (Monday to Thursday)

  • 0 – 4 hours: FREE
  • 4 – 5 hours: AED 40
  • 5 – 6 hours: AED 60
  • 6 – 7 hours: AED 80
  • 8 – 12 hours: AED 100
  • 12 – 24 hours: AED 500
  • Over 24 hours: AED 1,000

Weekends (Friday to Sunday)

After the free parking hours, the following rates will apply: on Weekends From Friday to Sunday first 6 hours of parking are FREE after 6 7th hour’s rate is 80AED and increase 20AED for every 1 hour till 6 hours so 12 hours parking fees is 200AED, after 12 to 24 hours fees is 500AED, Parkings exceeding 24 hours will be charged 1000AED.

  • 0 – 6 hours: FREE
  • 6 – 7 hours: AED 80
  • 7 – 8 hours: AED 100
  • 8 – 12 hours: AED 200
  • 12 – 24 hours: AED 500
  • Over 24 hours: AED 1,000

These charges will apply to the Grand parking, Cinema parking, and Fashion parking areas. As of now, the Zabeel and Fountain Views parking areas will not charge for parking.

Exemptions

People of determination, public service providers (police, ambulance, emergency response vehicles, Civil Defense, etc.), and valet drop-offs are exempt from paying the parking fees.

Alternative Transportation Options

To avoid parking fees, visitors can consider using alternative transportation options, such as the Dubai Metro. The Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station on the Red Line is directly connected to the mall via the Metro Link Bridge, making it a convenient option. Additionally, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) operates feeder buses that drop off passengers directly at the mall.
